Sandy Williamson [HERD]

It is with great sadness we record the passing of former Highland Games cycling great Sandy Herd of Leven.
Sandy sadly passed away on Sunday aged 92.

Sandy was a legendary figure among the grass track bikers and enjoyed a long and successful career on the Highland Games circuit.

Still turning out on the odd occasion when in his seventies he was an inspiration to many an up and coming young rider.
Sandy was still to be seen around the circuit in recent years and was in attendance at Markinch in 2018.

He will be sadly missed by all on the Games circuit along with everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing him

Sandy's funeral will take place at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Saturday 27th July at 10.15am.
