ABERDEEN HIGHLAND GAMES CANCELLED

Despite our hopes for an improvement in the weather, Aberdeen Highland Games scheduled for Sunday have been cancelled.

A decision was taken this afternoon to cancel Aberdeen Highland Games as Hazlehead Park is waterlogged due to the heavy and persistent rain over the last 36 hours, with more rain forecast until Saturday. Ground conditions are likely to continue to deteriorate further by Sunday.

Aberdeen has a long and proud tradition of hosting the Highland Games and we’re disappointed all our efforts in preparing for the event this year have been affected by the weather conditions at the site.
