Sudden death of Chris Perry

Top Australian athlete Chris Perry died suddenly at his home on Friday.

Chris who was 53 was a regular on the Scottish Games circuit in the early 1980's

He won the famous Stawell Gift in 1982 and went on to represent Australia at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.

Another of his more light-hearted claims to fame was in winning the World Haggis Hurling title at Cowdenbeath Games.
