Drumtochty get stage to themselves.
DRUMTOCHTY GET STAGE TO THEMSELVES writes Shane Fenton
With June being a five weekend month the Drumtochty Highland Games will have the stage to themselves this Saturday.
The Games takes place at Drumtochty Glen ,Auchenblae nr Laurencekirk.
This is a venue for the Grampian Games Heavy Events Championships and a good field is anticipated. The battle to determine who will be the 2019 SHGA overall champion is set to continue with the two leading protagonists Lukasz Wenta and Vlad Tulacek set to be in action. In the Qualifying heavy events competition competitors will have five events.
The Open running and jumping events feature competitions for both male and female athletes as well as Youth's.
The games also feature a Hill Race with a veterans category included and Tug o War.
There is also a full programme of highland dancing and solo piping.
This is the full list of track & field competitions, entries for all will be accepted on the day.
