Busy weekend for athletes with 5 Games set to take place

Another busy weekend beckons on the Highland Games circuit with meetings at Lonach, Birnam, Glenurquhart and Strathardle on Saturday and at Grantown on Spey on Sunday.

It will be a big weekend for the heavy event fraternity with a double-header of Grampian Games events at Lonach and Grantown on Spey. Plenty points in the various leagues are up for grabs as the season enters it's final few weeks.

Competition is also hotting up in both the Open and Youth SHGA leagues, there is a full programme of running,cycling and heavy events at Birnam, Glenurquhart and Grantown on Spey.

Strathardle Games hosts another instalment of the Perthshire Heavyweight League.

The Tug of War guys will be out in force, likewise the jumpers, the latter have competitions at Lonach and Grantown on Spey.
