ANOTHER BUSY WEEKEND BECKONS ON GAMES CIRCUIT

Another busy weekend beckons on the Highland Games circuit with meetings at Lonach, Invergordon and Strathardle on Saturday and at Grantown on Spey on Sunday.

It's unfortunate that three games clash but it could have been worse, with five Saturday's in the month Birnam Games which would usually clash with this Saturday's trio of fixtures isn't until next Saturday.

It will be a big weekend for the heavy event fraternity with a double-header of Grampian Games events at Lonach and Grantown on Spey. Plenty points in the various leagues are up for grabs as the season enters it's final few weeks.

Competition is also hotting up in both the Open and Youth SHGA cycling leagues, the bikers will be in action at Invergordon and Grantown on Spey.

Strathardle Games hosts another instalment of the Perthshire Heavyweight League.

The Tug of War guys will be out in force, likewise the jumpers, Although there is events at all the scheduled games for track athletes it's not likely to be a major weekend for them.
